Gals Group with Grow & Sing Studios

This online Kindermusik class is perfect for families with children of any age between newborn and 7. You and your child can safely gather together for a fun-filled learning experience. Grow and Sing Studios Kindermusik educators will help you modify movement activities, group dances, and instrument-play activities so all children can enjoy at their developmental stage. Mixed-age Kindermusik classes offer the perfect setting for family bonding time and inspire ideas for more music exploration, play, and more fun at home.

RECOMMENDED PROPS -

Something to shake (egg shaker, maraca, water bottle filled with beans, beads or rice, etc)

Something to drum on (you can use a drum, or a can, box, even the floor)

Any instruments you have at home.

Something to swish (scarf, dish towel, pillowcase etc)

Favorite stuffed animalBlanket

ACTIVITIES

1. Exploring movement concepts and participating in musical interactions with objects and others

2. Discovering different ways instruments can make sounds and experiencing a wide range of musical concepts

3. Identifying and vocally imitating sounds and learning to describe them

4. Learning to associate a picture with a sound

5. Singing songs with language patterns that explore rhythm, speech sounds, syntax, and rhyme

ZOOM INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Click link provided and enter password if prompted.

2. If it’s your first time, accept the prompt to install zoom (if you get one). If on your phone, install the Zoom App.

3. The host will accept your request at class time.

4. On the bottom bar towards the left, click “start video”.

5. Also on the bottom bar please remain MUTED. The host will unmute each person when it makes sense. This is so we all don’t hear feedback!

6. You can choose between speaker view (where you just see who is unmuted)

7. OR you can choose gallery view where you see everyone.

8. THIS VIEW IS ONLY UNIQUE TO YOU. EACH PERSON CAN CHOOSE ON THEIR DEVICE.

9. If you know how to screen cast or screen share you can put us on your TV! This would be done directly from your device to your television.

10. Please do not use a virtual background as sometimes it's hard to see the children since they move around. Thank you!

11. Important: When you come in, please make your screen name your CHILD'S NAME so we are able to interact. This is also important for security reasons. If your video is not on, and your screen name isn't noted, we will need to remove you from the classroom.
